Harry Oppenheimer Agricultural High School (HOAHS) was founded in 1982 by businessman and Philanthropist Harry Oppenheimer. Affectionately known as Oppies, the school is located 47 km outside of Mokopane along the N11 and 108 km from Polokwane. Based in Ga-Matlala, Limpopo, Oppies has welcomed numerous learners from various parts of South Africa.

The school’s academics excellence has attracted both parents and learners. It has a history of producing top achieving learners in the province. It has also produced athletes who have gone on to represent the district and province in national athletic competitions. The spirit of competition reigns true within our community. Apart from academic and sports excellence, the school is proud of their choir which has also gone on to achieve great success.

As an agricultural school, the school aims to equip its learners with the necessary skills they need to venture and succeed in the industry should they choose to pursue that route. On the other hand, it also aims to uplift nearby communities with programs that will enrich homes. This as it holds true to the school slogan “Tirelong ya Setshaba.”
